Ridwell Acquires The Happy Beetle!

We will continue regular operations through July 3rd. Your scheduled pick-up date is the same and you will notice no difference in service or accepted items during this time period. You will also continue to receive service reminders. For our Quarterly members who are not scheduled before July 3rd, we’re sorry, but you will not receive another pick from The Happy Beetle. After July 3rd, you must activate your new account with Ridwell.

Fortunately, your subscription can transfer to Ridwell to continue receiving hard-to-recycle pick-up service. Ridwell’s service plans are a little different from ours, so you need to select a plan and activate your new account for service to continue.

All current customers will receive a link shortly after their final pick-up to access their newly created account on Ridwell. SERVICE WILL NOT RESUME UNTIL YOU ACTIVATE YOUR NEW ACCOUNT.

You may also access your custom link within our Customer Portal. Any pre-paid credits are already loaded to Ridwell and waiting for you to utilize!

The Happy Beetle members who choose to migrate to Ridwell membership will enjoy:

• More frequent pickups from their doorstep

• Dedicated front door bin and category bags for a more seamless experience. The front porch bin provides improved aesthetics, protection from wind and moisture, and reduced confusion for drivers in determining which items are intended for pick up.

• Expanded opportunity to recycle even more common household waste materials, particularly hard-to-recycle plastics like multi-layer plastic, plastic lids and caps, and more.

• Full transparency on where the stuff they give to Ridwell goes. We work with carefully vetted partners, and our transparency page is a great resource to find out more detail.

• Access to our member services team, who are always ready to answer tricky questions and help find the best recycling or reuse solution for difficult to recycle materials.

• Use of our iOS app to access their dashboard, schedule pickups, plan for upcoming featured categories, and see their household and community’s total impact.

• Continued opportunity to support local nonprofits organizations through rotating featured category pickups

Our services are well aligned and Ridwell is proud to offer The Happy Beetle members more solutions for hard-to-recycle plastics.

Many items included in The Happy Beetle’s service have been or will be included as Ridwell featured categories or upcoming categories.
